Sophomore Humanities: World History and English

We started the year by learning what our fundamental belief was. In this project we wrote a podcast on our belief following the book and podcast series ​In this I believe. My podcast was titled, In this I believe, I am Blessed. Our second project was about how the media shapes our world in the journalism project. As a humanities class, we created an online published newspaper. In the next project, we read the book Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe and participated in a mock trial prosecuting or defending the main character, Okonkwo, suicide. After this my class and I, learned about the truth of war by studying from the end of World War II to the end of the Vietnam War. Then, we created an art piece and artist statement displaying our understanding of the truth of war. Our final project is currently called the Anatomy of an Osprey. As a sophomore class we are learning what is means to be the Animas High School Class of 2019.
